Traditional Owners & Heritage
We acknowledge the Nharnuwangga, Wajarri and Ngarlawangga (NWN) peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we operate. We are committed to respectful engagement, local procurement and regional partnerships.
We recognise that there are many places that are culturally important to the NWN people, and we remain committed to conserving this heritage and working with Traditional Owners to ensure significant sites are identified, respected and protected.
Endurance Mining remains committed to respectful engagement, to listen, develop a better understanding of Traditional Owner culture and history, and to act on what we have learnt. Through this process we strive to play a role in reconciling the suffering of the past and to supporting a positive future for the NWN people.
Endurance Mining actively supports the local Ranger program, which includes training for rangers to achieve certificate II and IIIs in conservation and land management.
We are also committed to working with the broader community in nearby Meekatharra and ensuring that our operations provide mutual benefit.
Investing in our Community
Endurance Mining is proud to be a long-term partner of the Shire of Meekatharra. We recognise the Shire as a hub for the Mid-West region and an important stakeholder in the success of the Abra Operation
Our support includes sponsorship of community events such as the Spirit of Meekatharra Festival, ongoing engagement with local leaders, and investment in projects that deliver shared value for residents, businesses, and Traditional Owners.
