Exploration activity ramps up at Endurance Mining
With silver-lead concentrate production at the Abra Mine delivering consistent records, the focus is now on accelerating the Company's strategy to identify alternate near-mine feed sources, with the potential to transform Abra into a multi-decade operation.
“The Abra tenement package is highly prospective covering 37,000Ha in the Edmund Basin, yet it has remained relatively unexplored in the past 20 years. We have a large number of exploration targets that are proximal to the Abra Operation,” says Matthew Hine, Endurance Mining CEO and Managing Director.
“To support this increase in exploration activity, we’ve made a number of strategic appointments across our Executive and Operational teams, underpinned by decades of proven operational and exploration experience, effectively positioning Endurance for strong development growth.”
As well as bolstering its exploration team, Endurance has also refined its pipeline of priority targets, with four key areas identified for exploration throughout this year.
Manganese Range (silver, lead, zinc)
Exploration commenced at Manganese Range in late April. The exploration program will target down-dip and along strike from the significant intercepts identified in December 2025
Manganese Range lays within the Jillawarra tenements, located 25km west of the Abra project. Initial assay results are anticipated during Q4 FY2026.
Copper Chert (copper)
RC drilling is scheduled to commence at Copper Chert in May, approximately 11 km west of the Abra Project.
The program will focus on testing down-dip extensions defined by 2025 rock chip sampling, which yielded grades of up to 25% copper, with malachite and cuprite identified in hand specimens.
Coolina – copper, silver, lead, gold
A diamond drilling program is scheduled to commence at Coolina in April, located 15km west of the Abra Project, targeting a geophysical VTEM anomaly.
The area has not been previously drilled and was identified as prospective target following a desktop review of historical geophysical data. The program is supported by funding from the State Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS), following a successful Round 25 application last year.
Extensions to the Abra Resource (silver, lead)
Concurrent to the regional exploration program, a third underground diamond drill rig mobilised in late April to accelerate resource growth at Abra.
The campaign comprises 16 diamond holes (~5,650 m) aimed at confirming continuity of Apron extensions beyond the current 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), together with a further 11 holes (~4,000 m) targeting highly prospective extensions on the northern and hanging wall sides of the Abra Fault.
Importantly, the northern side of the Abra Fault remains largely underexplored, with only five historical holes drilled to date, highlighting strong upside potential for resource expansion.
Exploration fuelling growth
Hine said the targeted program holds exciting potential for the future of the Abra site and Endurance.
“We believe the best of Abra lays ahead, and that our underground and surface exploration programs provide a clear platform for growth and longevity in the regions, supporting our objective to grow as a silver focused, diversified mid-tier metals miner.”
